Good Morning Gustav

I’m dealing with this the same way I do everything: Denial and Diet Dr. Pepper.

That’s my favorite river, and also a soda I’ve never even had before. I’m crossing lots of body parts for yous guys!

I once read an interview with Monica Lewinsky (of all people) in which she said that she thought denial was an underrated coping strategy and that it worked really, really well right up until it didn’t. Diet Dr. Pepper always works–at least a little. 😉

Heck yeah her super power is attitude. I wonder where she gets that from? Find any pop tarts lately?

Haha. She’s cute and naughty too:) Love her braids:)

Right Now

Right now my heart is shredding in my chest. In time, I will understand that this too shall pass and then some other shit will start up. But right now I can’t focus on that, the pain is too intense. It is becoming clearer and clearer that it is no longer a question of if...

Hey, you are way too hard on yourself. Things get to be too much for everyone sometimes. What makes you think you were the special one who would never get overwhelmed. Give yourself a couple of days to process. You’re probably just freaking out cuz of all the freaking electricity in the air from Gustav. You’re like a cat. And it IS upsetting when people take all the damn pop-tarts. Hugs.

I got pop tarts! You just come out here and get one, and a hug while you are at it. We all have days like this, sometimes more than others. I have been feeling pretty overwhelmed lately myself. Thank goodness there were poptarts on my isle or else you wouldn’t have been the only one crying on isle 4. Take care girl!

Holy shit! Thanks everyone for all the really sweet comments and stuff, both in and out of this here intraweb. I’m now rolling in pop tarts and other sweets, both eatable and literary.

The Saga Continues

Jack lost his 4th tooth this morning. Well, I actually jerked it out. (He asked me.) It was really icky. It took two tries. We’ll see if the tooth fairy can manage to show up tonight.

You’re a braver woman then I. I think I will throw up if Brennan needs me to do something like that.

The Offical end of the MOY Quest

The girl cherub lost her second tooth Saturday night. There were tears Sunday morning as she awoke to find that the tooth fairy. did. not. leave. her. ANYTHING! I actually blamed it on her, because she left her tooth pillow in the living room. Clearly the tooth fairy can’t be expected to find her tooth...

You’re so not alone. I did the exact same thing once–fell asleep and completely forgot.

I also once left all the wrapping paper & stuff from last minute Christmas present preparation right in the middle of the living room. When the kids found it Christmas morning, I told them Santa just needed a little help wrapping stuff because of his busy schedule.

This made me laugh. No worries, I constantly disappoint the wee ones! I figure this will give them a reason to despise me as teenagers 😉

Jeff actually emailed the tooth fairy and she brought the goods the. same. day. Then she told me she KNEW the tooth fairy was real now, because I was with her the whole time and it couldn’t have been me. I nearly spewed DDP at that.
Nice to see ya around here John.
