So I had this anniversary recently.

Maybe you’ve heard?

And it was incredible.

Driving down to New Orleans in this

Shooting a trash the dress session ending with this

Wandering around Magazine street, shopping and snapping some of the best pictures of my life.

But just when I think I have this whole photography thing down, I get the proofs from Becky and I’m blown away by real talent.

Seriously, she is incredible. Go check them all out, and oogle what I have to live up to if I ever am going to be a ‘real’ photographer.

I can’t wait to wall paper my house with them all.

During my down time from trying to turn myself into a walking pharmacy this week, I’ve been volunteering at the cherubs’ school book fair. I have now spent my entire year’s income, but have a few terribly cute books to recommend to you. These are new books that I have discovered this time around the fair. So without further ado I present:

This is an adorable book about 9 year old Roxi Warbler, who is tortured at school by Helvetia’s Hooligans. But once they are stranded on an island with bank robbers, the Hooligans begin to see Roxi in a new light, thanks to her survival skills learned from her famous adventurer uncle Dangerfoot. This is a sweet little book and really quick read, sure to put a smile on your face. Written at about 2nd or 3rd grade level.
Next we have:

Here our heroine Claire must help her cousin Duke get rid of the horn he’s grown from swimming in the Mississippi, which is under a spell. This is a fast paced book with more twist and turns than the river it’s set in. I couldn’t put it down. But most importantly, the art is the most fantastical I’ve ever seen. The cover is not to be missed. (Be sure to check out a better view on amazon.) Written at about a 4th grade level.

Now go get reading, and tell my husband that everyone loves books as much as I do and it’s perfectly normal to drop $200 at the school book fair.

Save the Ta-tas

In addition to being my anniversary, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. (Hence going pink around here, in case you haven’t noticed) Coincidence? I think not.

So please, have regular check ups. Do self exams, or have your husband do them. And just take care of yourselves. Mom’s don’t spend enough time doing that, so take a few minutes every month for your health. It can even be kinda fun, if you know what I mean.

Unless of course, you’re not a woman and don’t have ta-tas. In that case, find and woman and help save her life. Just try to stay out of jail, okay?
