He didn't immediately notice it and when he reached for the towel, it must've startled the squirrel who promptly peed all over the clean towel and then disappeared through a previously unnoticed tear in the window screen. That was enough close encounters of the bushy-tailed kind for us. They are evil little creatures that are not indigenous to the United States. Big rodents. Bigger in Spokane AND they threw stuff at my kids if they got too close to the trees. Punks. You trap them in a live trap and then stick the whole thing in like a kiddie pool (not mine) and they can't hold their breath so they die fast.
