The Last Hoorah

Today is the cherubs’ last day of school. Despite the fact that they are doing absolutely nothing today, I sent them. I sent them because I needed today. So how am I celebrating my last few hours of freedom you might ask? Organizing, watching HGTV and doing Jacob’s laundry. In his defense, I never do his laundry, but he asked if I could do a load today since I was not working and he is swamped. And I’ve earned a grand total of 46 cents so far. If this keeps up, I can see a cold 20 oz. Diet Dr. Pepper in my future. I know, just try to keep up with my glamorous life people.

Also, I’d like to take this time to announce that after 3 years, one of my hydrangea are blooming. Yes, I too, thought this day would never come.

But it is here and it appears that the blooms are . . .

. . . pink. You just try and contain yourself. I dare you.

Why can’t school go YEAR ROUND?

My hydrangea is blooming this year, too!! I can’t tell you how excited I am about that. Especially since I thought it was dead for the last two years. I didn’t think that it would do well in a pot, but now that I see yours, maybe I’ll try to re-plant it. I don’t know, maybe I shouldn’t mess with it. I obviously have a black thumb!!
